So we went here and loved it. He played in the wah-wah and had a blast. We're going to go back...esp. since we get in for free. Does anyone know of any other fun stuff to do in Downtown Charleston for kiddos? Like the Aquarium?

When my brother- & sister-in-law were in Rome last summer, a friend and I took our collection of kids there to the Children's Museum. They all had a lot of fun, but I think what we may have enjoyed the most was eating a picnic lunch on the steps at the very top of the parking garage. :)
Waterfront park is fun and free (although you have to bring your own "fun" with you). The boy might like the pineapple fountain.
This isn't Downtown (or free), but another place we took the kiddos last year was the Children's Museum in Columbia. THAT was REALLY cool. You might want to wait a couple of years on that one, though.
Oh, and, BTW... I had fun with "Scramble" (didn't mean to knock the experience by my recent blog post), even though I still don't get facebook. ;)
Becky,
Thanks for the tips.
I do actually like Facebook and the Scramble feature is one of the "mind enhancing" things I like to do while logged-on. I use Facebook as a way to get to know people better-when I look at people's photo albums I better remember details about someone. And, it's neat to see the reactions of others.
Also, on my blog I get much less interaction with people than on Facebook. Of course I was too timid to write any of this on your blog because I was quite outnumbered and I'm a wimp like that sometimes.
Anyway, for what it's worth, I am learning from you, and maybe that's why you responded...just how to get people to comment on my new posts (which I consider to be hard work).
You have to ask questions! :) Now I know. Thanks.
What a cute picture!! You both look adorable and like you're having so much fun! We really look forward to seeing you guys next summer!
You two "kids" do have a lot of fun. You are a "fun mommy!" for Isaac. Bill was always the "fun" one for our kids. I love the looking through the window shot!
Thanks Becky and Mama Fran!
Isaac and I do have fun together.
What's good for Isaac is that David can be fun too. Actually, he loves it when David swings him around or "wrestles" with him...or catches him after he's jumped off the table. Isaac will hold his pointer fingers up in the air and say, "TWO", and then jump. It's really cute.
