Okay, I know what I an about to write should have been so obvious to me at a much earlier time, but here is what I have learned recently:
If you do the following, you can save at LEAST 1/2 on your grocery bill (keep in mind that this is only my system):
1) Buy a Sunday paper
2) Cut ALL coupons (even if you don't think you'll use them)
3) Put them in a three-ring binder using those baseball card clear sleeves
4) Organize them by month they expire
5) Find a website in your region where there are links to coupons to all sale items at many different stores (i.e. in SC www.southernsavers.com)
6) Buy only Buy One Get One Free items (BOGO)
7) Use coupons on top of those deals and you'll get all sorts of good deals
(12 cent Progresso soup, free popcorn and items that you can even gain $)
8) TAKE NOTE: Make sure you can find a store that takes competitor coupons, and doubles coupons. PUBLIX is the best for this in our area.
Anyway, this might have been confusing, but it's been amazing what I've been saving.
Today I went to Publix, spent $31.00 and saved $43.00. WHAT A BLESSING.
Thanks Kim K. and Cortney S. for enlightening me and helping our family so much.
Has anyone been learning something amazing lately?
(Hopefully I'll blog about the new study Ashley, Shelly and I are doing; it's the Beth Moore "Believing God" study. )
